With this short documentary, we want to share a bit of the life of three Oaxacan women, Doña Gloria and her daughters, Teresa (“Tere”) and Clara, who every day are dedicated to preparation of tortillas, memelas, atoles and more delights. Through images and between laughter and pain, they tell us about their work – indispensable in the daily lives of so many people but little visible and valued, particularly on film screens – but also about their struggles to live with dignity, without men or bosses.
